10th Commandment vs 99%

In the chambers of the Supreme Court of the United States, previous serious Americans have placed the Ten Commandments. They are there both to memorialize one of the first set of codified laws and to recognize that our freedoms are a gift from our Creator. Although the King James language, for some, seems to set these laws apart from our present day life, it is clear that they are a rock solid foundation for people to live together. Unfortunately, living by the Commandments is more difficult than displaying them. Perhaps that is a reason why many on the Left...

More Than Politics…

Upon hearing that Tami and I started Tribble News, our good friend, Duane Patterson (@RadioBlogger), posted a series of tweets: @tamij oh my stars, you people have taken one giant leap into absurdity, ma’am. @tamij clearly the Phoenix heat has fried the reason part of @mwithem’s brain cells, ma’am. @Scot0149 no kidding, sir. I take a week to play, and tribbles form their own media outlet? It’s as bad as skynet being self-aware. Fisking Facebook #1

One of my hot buttons is the pictures that liberal Facebook users share, thinking that words in a picture are somehow more persuasive than words alone. I’m not a fan of this form of advocacy – it takes longer to load, occupies more space, and, frankly, it’s manipulative in a way that text is not. I never respond to them, though, for two reasons: I’m friends with them on Facebook for reasons other than politics, and the relationship is more important to me than scoring points; and I’m not convinced that a political posting on Facebook has ever changed...

My Take on the Quayle Attack Website

I have had the opportunity to meet both Congressman David Schweikart and Congressman Ben Quayle. In fact, it was the same evening that I had the pleasure to connect with Hugh Hewitt and began working with him on his side projects. I happen to believe that they are both good men and strong conservatives. If I lived in their district, it would be a big dilemma which I would choose to vote for. On Twitter last week I saw a tweet from Ben Quayle that referred users to an article on a website called dishonestdave.com. Intrigued, I clicked. It...

Donate to Major Dave Gray’s Family

Hugh Hewitt posted on his blog and reported on his show today about the loss of Air Force Major Dave Gray. Dave was a patriot and a Christian. I’m quoting Hugh’s blog post below. Please donate to his family. Last week Brad Dayspring joined me on air to talk about his good friend Army Major Thomas Kennedy, who was killed in a Taliban suicide bomber attack on August 8, leaving a beautiful wife and darling 2-year old twins behind.  This audience along hundreds of other Americans responded with generosity to a fund to help benefit his family. Now I have...
