Today the Supreme Court started to hear arguments about Prop Eight from California. They will also rule on the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act.

All day I have been listening and watching the media on both sides of the isle. There is no doubt which side the reporters in the mainstream/drive-by/government run media line up on. Most of these people are progressive, hence they all believe that the homosexuals should be able marry.

In politics and in life, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and it seems that the many constituency groups of the democrat party are the wheels which squeak the loudest.

Judge Scalia took the lawyer who represents the the lobby against Prop 8 to the woodshed. Judge Sotamayer did much the same. She may be for gay marriage, but she’ll be hard pressed to find it in the constitution.

Following the day of the arguments for and against Prop 8, there are several things which could happen.

The high court could decide not to hear the case. This does not appear to be what is happening.

SCOTUS could kick the case back to the Ninth Circuit (Circus). It’s unlikely that they will do this because most of the Justices on the court do not like going against the express will of the people. The will of the people of California is that they think marriage should be between one man and one woman.

Who knows what the decision will be, but the two younger female justices might come down against the detractors of Prop 8.

You really don’t know how liberals will rule.
