On Sept. 11, 2001 came the horror of America being attacked and 3000 Americans being murdered by Islamic terrorists. The George W Bush presidency was changed forever as he knew he must become a war time president against radical Islam. His focus from that day until the end of his presidency would be to keep America from being attacked again and to keep Americans safe from Islamic terrorists. That is why George W Bush’s first job every morning was to meet with his national security advisers and receive his Presidential Daily Briefing [that concerned intelligence threats to the United States].
President Bush never missed one briefing. He was focused in his job to keep Americans safe. Almost all pundits thought America would be attacked again shortly after the 9-11 attacks and more Americans would be killed, but President George W. Bush, through his policies, kept America safe from another attack for the last seven years of his two terms in office. The main stream media was reluctant to give president Bush any credit for that, I guess chalking it up to luck. Believe me if there had been another attack on America on president Bush’s watch, I guarantee we would have seen calls for his impeachment from some of the leftist journalists.
President Obama finds the links more alluring
Now let’s turn to the Obama administration’s handling of national security concerns.
We learn from Marc Thiessen opinion writer in the Washington Post: on Sept. 10, 2012: “The Government Accountability Institute, a new conservative investigative research organization, examined President Obama’s schedule from the day he took office until mid-June 2012, to see how often he attended his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) — the meeting at which he is briefed on the most critical intelligence threats to the country. During his first 1,225 days in office, Obama attended his PDB just 536 times — or 43.8 percent of the time. During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent — falling to just over 38 percent.”
This is unbelievable to me. The president’s number one job [especially magnified after 9-11-2001] is to keep America and Americans safe from attack. So, President Bush’s first action every morning was to meet with his national security team to see how he could keep America safe. President Barack Obama seems that his first job every morning is to determine which golf course and or fund raiser he will be attending that day.
While President Bush kept us safe from attack after 9-11, and kept any more Americans from being murdered by Islamic terrorists those last 7 years of his presidency, what has happened on President Obama’s watch in his first 3 years 8 months of his presidency? This is where, I submit, has been one of the biggest cover-ups ever by the main stream media in trying to protect their man, Barack Obama.
On November 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, the most populous U.S. military installation in the world, located just outside Killeen, Texas, Major Nidal Malik Hasan killed 13 people and wounded 29 others in the worst shooting attack ever to take place on an American military base. After this attack, the administration shamefully told Americans not to jump to conclusions [i.e., don’t call this man a Muslim terrorist] and their official position was [and still is to this day] that what took place at Fort Hood was “workplace violence”.
Make no mistake about it, this was a terrorist attack on American soil committed by a radical Muslim terrorist.
Radical Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki
The following information was from November 11, 2009 New York Times:
Evidence: Major Hasan communicated frequently [up to 20 messages] with the radical Islamic cleric in Yemen, Anwar al-Awlaki, known for his incendiary anti-American teachings. Al-Awlaki was once a spiritual leader at a mosque in suburban Virginia where Major Hasan worshiped. After the attack Mr. Awlaki praised Major Hasan on his web site, saying that he “did the right thing” in attacking soldiers preparing to deploy to Afghanistan and Iraq. If the man who Hasan communicated with frequently before his attack of terror at Fort Hood wasn’t an Islamic terrorist, then why on Sept. 20, 2011 did the United States [rightfully] take him out with a missile from an American drone? Also,when Hasan was committing his act of terror on Fort Hood, witnesses heard him cry out Allahu Akbar before his deadly shooting of American heroes. That is the cry of the sick Islamic terrorists as they commit their acts of “Jihad.” Yes, the Fort Hood attack was the first “successful” terrorist attack committed on American soil since 9-11.
Now sadly there has been another terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9-11 in Benghazi, Libya that killed US Ambassador Christopher Stephens and three other Americans at the US Embassy there. Finally, after nine days of denial, even the administration admits that this was a terrorist attack [although they still won’t call this an act of Islamic terrorism]. But it was. In researching, I am getting conflicting information on whether a US Embassy in a foreign country is actually considered as being American soil. But, even if it is not considered American soil, one thing we can say for certain, that this was a second act of terror against Americans under Obama’s watch.
So, in the less than four years of Barack Obama’s presidency we have had two acts of Islamic terror [one in America and one in an American Embassy] that have resulted in the deaths of 17 Americans. One may think it unfair to put any blame on president Obama for these terrorist attacks, but no one can deny that they have occurred on his watch. If President Obama wants to take all the credit for “getting” Bin Laden, then shouldn’t he accept some of the responsibility for not keeping Americans safe under his watch?
We have recently seen the Middle East on fire, we have millions of Americans suffering [from unemployment, high gas prices, home values under water, etc.], we have had two terrorist attacks of Americans under Barack Obama’s watch, in which 17 Americans have been killed, and what is the concern of the main stream media? They are obsessed with criticizing constantly some innocuous comment Mitt Romney made months earlier, before donors at a fund raising dinner. A second terrorist attack had just occurred under Barack Obama’s watch, but the liberal media seems intent on covering that fact up to the American people. Yes, unfortunately we now have a main stream media that is not a watch dog of the government, but is a spokesman for it [for this administration]. This liberal media would make Pravda of the old Soviet Union proud of their fellow brethren in the United States. The main stream media wants to make sure this emperor is always clothed in the eyes of the public.
Yes, the big media cover-up is in full force in their attempt to protect their man, Barack Obama and get him a second term to do even more damage to this country. For my daughter and for any future grand children [if I am so blessed], I pray the big media cover-up doesn’t work.
