The upcoming ConservativeLA Radio show (on Duane FM in the Hughniverse, Friday, 11/16, 7:00 Pacific/10:00 Eastern) will be somewhat off the beaten track compared to previous shows.

The show will be centered around two things: Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 Choral, and excerpts from Dennis Prager’s 11/7 election postmortem broadcast–both of which, while acknowledging profound grief, offer an equally profound refusal to surrender to despair.

Oh, and the choice of Bernstein was deliberate–in part because of Michael Beckman’s recommendation, and with the added bonus of providing the opportunity to use a notorious Leftist nozzle’s artistic output to argue against despair in the face of the Left. Ha.

Hope you can stop by, listen to the show, and join us in chat!

Spoiler set list:

Rolling Stones: You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Hank Williams: You Win Again

Tammy Wynette: Starting Over
Tom Waits: Hold On
Peter Tosh: Pick Myself Up

Frank Sinatra: High Hopes

And lots and lots and lots of the aforementioned Ninth Symphony, and Dennis Prager.
