What Sex Scandal?

If you turn on the TV, or open a paper, you will be exposed to an ongoing and growing scandal centered on sexual harrassment in the military. The current scandal began with the revelation that some non-commissioned officers at Lackland AFB were taking sexual advantage of the trainees under their responsibility. Current estimates is that around 26,000 cases of sexual assault occur every year within the uniformed services. This is a serious problem which requires serious consideration. As a career AF officer, I see this as an existential crisis for our military, but not necessarily the same problem that...

Who Are Those Guys?

That’s what I asked myself after hearing this commercial on KNST in Tucson, during Rush Limbaugh’s radio show.   They’re sure as hell not Conservatives! Claiming to be Americans for a Conservative Direction, the spot advocates for the Schumer-Rubio immigration bill. My son and I are both Eagle Scouts, Order of the Arrow, and my grandson is a First Class Scout. Not that I didn’t want...

The First Presidential Scandals And What Might Come.

As scandalpalooza marches on, I would like to take you back to what was possibly the first scandal, in my opinion, that could and should have been a much bigger deal than it was.   This scandal hinged around the Black Panthers, their voter intimidation in Pennsylvania and the lack of prosecution by the Eric Holder led Department of Justice. Why I call this a scandal is because America is supposed to be known for fair elections and the fact that a vast majority of the elections are above board. In 2008, in Philadelphia, outside of a polling place,...
