CLA Radio 08/01/14: Second Anniversary

The next ConservativeLA Radio show (on Duane FM in the Hughniverse, Friday night, 08/01/14, 7:00 Pacific/10:00 Eastern) will celebrate the 104th edition of the show. I don’t cheat and count reruns, so to heck with the calender. This will be 52 episodes x 2 = Second Anniversary, thus applying the GAAP modifying convention of conservatism to my little music show. The selections will attempt to provide an incoherent overview of the semi-organized chaos that has occurred weekly since the show began. Hope you can stop by, listen to the show, and join us in chat! Spoiler set list: CLAR Faux Ad: Cyniloft CLAR Jingle: Mary...

Blind Sided Republicans

Quick. Name an offensive lineman in the NFL other than Michael Oher.   Unless you watch ESPN more than CNN you probably can’t. And if you have never seen “The Blind Side,” you are not likely too recognize Oher’s name. The reason I use the movie analogy is because most Americans understand the Constitution about as much as they understand the importance of offensive linemen in football. I know our leaders haven’t formally denounced Israel, but they haven’t sternly supported them either. In fact, during Israel’s latest conflict with Hamas, the attempted peace deal brokered by Secretary of State Kerry was insulting to Israel. It not only didn’t demand that Hamas destroy their tunnels, but did demand Israel and Egypt open their...

Give Peace A Chance

In spite of the fact that Hamas is dedicated to the destruction of Israel, the Obama administration likes to pretend that Hamas is indeed part of a legitimate Palestinian government, a “humanitarian organization,” as Nancy Pelosi put it. The Obama administration is “shocked … SHOCKED!” when Hamas won’t just play well with its Jewish neighbors, and recoils in horror when civilians end up getting killed as a result. In the U.S., we call this felony murder. That’s when something you do (e.g. like when Hamas builds a command center under a hospital) ends up getting someone killed (e.g. like when Israel...
