Duane’s Journey: Some Encouragement for the Next Adventure

Duane’s Journey: Some Encouragement for the Next Adventure

Duane Patterson is known to the nation as @Radioblogger or Generalissimo, Hugh Hewitt’s able and much-maligned producer. But to a bunch of friends across the nation called The Tribbles, Duane’s a friend and great guy. Duane informed us on his 7/27 Aftershow that the cancer, first diagnosed in 2012, and twice beaten, was back. To be precise, the Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma was back. Here is the full explanation: After the news had soaked in, the only appropriate response was a recording of encouragement, humor and well-wishes from a gaggle of Duane’s friends, many of whom are Tribbles. Our thoughts and prayers are with Duane as he fights this thing. Follow Duane’s journey and log comments at...

Expert at West Point Think Tank Warns of the “Violent Far-Right”

Expert at West Point Think Tank Warns of the “Violent Far-Right”

West Point has a fine and storied tradition: President Thomas Jefferson signed legislation establishing the military academy in 1802.    The same Thomas Jefferson who often repeated the John Bradshaw quote: Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God. And the same Thomas Jefferson who wrote: When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty. West Point created the Combating Terrorism Center after the events of 9/11, in an effort to prepare cadets for the new and dangerous environment of suicidal enemies and thwart future attacks. Sounds good and noble, and in the context of West Point should be well-founded. However, Dr. Arie Perliger, one of the Center’s experts, published a study in November titled Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right. There is something tremendously unsettling about seeing the words “America’s Violent Far-Right” in the title. In Challengers, Perliger attempts to sideline West Point’s time-honored motto: Duty, Honor, Country. Dr. Perliger’s bio boasts, “…In the past decade Dr. Perliger has studied extensively issues related to Terrorism and Political Violence, Politics of Security, Politics of the...

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Speaks about Militant Islam

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Speaks about Militant Islam

Israeli Prime Minister spoke forthrightly about the critical dangers of militant Islam. “I come here from Jerusalem to speak on behalf of my people, the people of Israel. I’ve come here to speak about the dangers we face, and about the opportunities we seek. I’ve come here to expose the brazen lies spoken from this podium.” “…our hopes and the world’s hopes for peace are in danger, because everywhere we look Militant Islam is on the march.” “For the militant Islamist, all politics is global, because their ultimate goal is to dominate the world! Now that threat might seem exaggerated to some, since it starts out small…like a cancer that attacks a particular part of the body. But left unchecked, the cancer grows, metastasizing over wider and wider areas. To protect the peace and security of the world, we must remove this cancer before it’s too late.” Prime Minister Netanyahu might be seen as largely moderate in Israel, yet Bibi is clear and fearless in declaring evil evil and good good....

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: Clarifying Moral Divide Between Terrorists and Those Who Choose Life

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: Clarifying Moral Divide Between Terrorists and Those Who Choose Life

Thanks to Duane Patterson, Hugh Hewitt’s fine producer*, I heard this, PM Bibi Netanyahu’s speech at the 14th International Conference on Counter-Terrorism.   Funny how the Main Stream Media is NOT rebroadcasting this everywhere. A Real Speech, by a Real Man, a Real Leader, that calls Islamist Terrorism what it is: EVIL. The speech is 25 minutes long, but unlike 25 telepromtered minutes of Obama puffery, these 25 minutes will inform your hearts and minds with truth. I exhort you to listen at least once, then share with everyone!   “There is no meaningful power without responsibility.” “We remember that day, 13 years ago, and we mourn with you on this day, for the thousands who lost their lives in that horrific attack. All of Israel mourned on September 11th. In Gaza, they were dancing on the roofs. They were handing out candy. THAT’S the moral divide.” This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings...

Barack Obama: From Unknown Entity to America’s Wrecking Ball in 5 Short Years

Barack Obama: From Unknown Entity to America’s Wrecking Ball in 5 Short Years

In 2008 all of America watched as a young, mostly unknown, Illinois senator began a presidential run.   At the time, most conservative pundits feared a Hillary win. Hillary being the ruthless power and grit in the Clinton duo; Bill being the charm offensive. But American politics were taken by storm: Barack Obama, the 1/2 black candidate from the Alinsky halls of Chi Town, gained momentum aided by his active campaign wing, the Main Stream Media. Obama was the Social Media darling of the Millennials who knew next to nothing about our Constitution, and even less about the Candidate. Obama was swept into office despite his calls to “spread the wealth around” (aka socialism) and close connections with Communists and domestic terrorists. 5 days prior to his first election victory, on Thursday, October 30, 2008, speaking to a cheering throng at the University of Missouri, Obama ominously pronounced: “We are 5 days aways from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” As we check off the bullet points of...
