A Case for America the Movie

A Case for America the Movie

Last week I went to see Dinesh D’Souza’s America: Imagine the World Without Her and I am right now advising everyone to take the time to see it.   In it, D’Souza takes on the Left’s baseless and one-sided claims about America: to hear the Left’s version of history, America is a nation built on racism, sexism, classism, and imperialism. In less than two hours, D’Souza lays waste to these absolute absurd charges leveled against the United States. It’s worth noting that D’Souza actually lets the Left lay out their case against America in their own words. This is a noted contrast to how the Left does things. With Progressives’ representations of such a narrative, they set up a field of strawmen, call it the “conservative position,” douse said strawmen with gasoline, set them on fire. And then claim they won the argument. D’Souza is clearly smarter than that, because he allows noted Leftists like Bill Ayers, Ward Churchill, and Michael Eric Dyson free rein to make their case, and then...

Why We Should All Watch “The Honor Diaries”

Why We Should All Watch “The Honor Diaries”

A few weeks ago, I attended a viewing of “The Honor Diaries,” which was being screened here in New York City.   If this documentary is being screened anywhere near you, I advise you go see it. It is graphic in its description of the way women are seen and treated in Islamic societies. The film takes on the issues of honor killings and genital mutilation, and having seen it, I can say it puts to shame the way these issues are covered (or worse, covered up) in Western society. I always knew that women were badly mistreated, to the point of death, by some in the name of Islam. What I did not realize, and what I found completely shocking, was the extent to which this abuse happens in the West. There are tales told by the women here that will break your heart, but more importantly, it should shock the conscience and outrage all decent people. One of the most important things to understand about this horrifying...

Dinesh D’Souza Indicted for Telling the Truth

Dinesh D’Souza Indicted for Telling the Truth

The headline on Drudge read “MOVIEMAKER INDICTED.” Dinesh D’Souza, the brilliant, soft-spoken Christian gentleman who dared to tell the truth about Barack Obama in a documentary has been federally indicted. It took a few years, but the guys in the lace-up patent leather boots and armbands finally found something to harass him over. It started with adultery, when that didn’t stick, the mining expedition continued. The charge now? Contributing too much money to a candidate who sought to replace former New York Senator Hillary Clinton. The producer of D’Souza’s movie Obama’s America: 2016, Gerald Molen, believes the charges are politically motivated. Ya’ think? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dinesh will be arrested for “allegedly violating campaign finance laws.” Molen is appalled, saying: “In America, we have a long tradition of not doing what is commonly done in too many other countries — criminalizing dissent through the selective enforcement of the law.” Not anymore, Gerry! This is Obama’s America and it’s only 2014! With scandals piling up around Barack Obama, why...

Clayton Moore: THE Lone Ranger

Clayton Moore: THE Lone Ranger

Kids used to have entertainment heroes who carried on their roles after show time.       The late Clayton Moore was such a person.     He was TVs Lone Ranger during its Golden Age, with the Cold War as a back drop, His crusade inspired millions, at home and abroad. Long after the show finished airing, Mr. Moore still inspired fans with decades-long personal appearances as the Western hero.     A lot of my promotion of patriotism as an urban solution draws inspiration from this amazing man. His example touched lives across all dividing lines. I was too young to see his series when it debuted, but its impact upon my grandfather and mother was enough. Their eyes twinkled at the recollection and invited me to explore a time when Good verses Evil was unquestioned, instead of something to be debated. I want today’s youth to have heroes beyond vulgar rappers and asinine athletes. Good parenting, good choices, plus good role models produces good people.  ...

The Real Super Bowl Winner

The Real Super Bowl Winner

In the interest of full disclosure, I don’t care about the Super Bowl one bit. I don’t care about the half time performances. However, I do enjoy the creativity that comes as a result of the advertisement competition between the bowl sponsors. Most of you have seen the Dodge Ram tribute to the American Farmer that stole the show, but I thought I would post it at Right Voice Media for all to see. It’s worth watching, even for the tenth...

Review of “Frack Nation”

Review of “Frack Nation”

Tonight I attended the Los Angeles premier of Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney’s much anticipated documentary “Frack Nation”.   The film  was self-funded through Kickstarter.  Phelim and Ann raised over $210,000 from individual donors to make it, and it appears their money was put to very good use.     Why do I say “much anticipated”?  The donors who helped make this film understand what most people who have been following this story also understand.  The United States is sitting on enormous reserves of oil and natural gas that have the potential to power our economy well into the next century.  These reserves are so massive they dwarf those in the middle east.  Were we to begin harvesting these reserves in earnest, our dependence on foreign energy would cease and the power wielded by our geopolitical foes who use their energy exports as a political tool would be severely checked. The process for harvesting these newly found reserves involves hydraulic fracking coupled with modern horizontal drilling techniques.  Fracking...
