The Anniversary of the Challenger

    Today marks the 27th Anniversary of a national tragedy.   On this day in 1986, the space shuttle Challenger exploded 90 seconds after take off. This was to be a momentous day because Christa McAuliffe was to be the first Teacher in Space. It was one of those events where people remember where they were at that moment. President Reagan was slated to give the State of the Union address on that night.
